Singapore GP qualifying pushed back to 9:30pm after rain-hit Sprint
The FIA has moved Saturday's qualifying at Marina Bay back by 30 minutes, after the rain-delayed Sprint ran late.

Qualifying for the Singapore Grand Prix has been delayed by 30 minutes. The session will now start at 9:30pm local time (13:30 UTC), instead of 9pm.
Why the delay
It’s a knock-on from this afternoon’s Sprint. A downpour minutes before the 5pm start left standing water on the track, and the race started 30 minutes late.
Once it got going, it ran long. George Russell crashed out of the lead at the end of lap one, bringing out an extended safety car, and more retirements followed. Eight cars failed to finish. Read our full Sprint report.
Pushing qualifying back gives teams more time to repair and prepare their cars after a chaotic afternoon.
What else moves
The Porsche Carrera Cup Asia race, which runs between the Sprint and qualifying, has also been pushed back by half an hour.
Updated Saturday schedule (local time)
- Porsche Carrera Cup Asia: 30 minutes later than planned
