Thursday to Saturday: the race is on Saturday night.

Is this race for you?

Pick Las Vegas for the spectacle: a night race down the Strip past the Sphere and the Bellagio, concerts between sessions, and a whole city of F1 events around it. Think twice if you want a racer's race on a budget: your ticket only gets you into one zone, food and drink are expensive, the nights are cold, and fans who have been to other races say the crowd is quieter.

04Getting there

The circuit runs through the middle of the Strip, so most fans walk or take the monorail. Roads close from mid-afternoon on track days. Tap an option for the details.

Walking

The easiest option if you stay on or near the Strip. Allow far longer than the map says: closures send you through casinos and over bridges, and fans walking from Aria or Park MGM to the main grandstand took 30 to 60 minutes in the crowds.

Las Vegas Monorail

Runs along the east side of the Strip. Three stations are inside the circuit: Flamingo/Caesars Palace, Harrah's/The LINQ and Horseshoe/Paris. In 2024 it ran until 2am on Thursday night and 3am at weekends. After the race the main stations get long queues, so fans walk to a quieter station or wait it out.

Rideshare and taxis

Rideshare uses set drop-off points, not hotel doors: Virgin Hotels, Hughes Center, Tuscany, Park MGM and Caesars Palace. Use the one nearest your zone. After the race, thousands of people want a car at once, so expect a long wait and surge prices.

Driving

Not worth it. There's no fan parking at the circuit, and roads close from mid-afternoon to the early hours on track days. Fans who drive in park at a hotel and walk.

From the airport

Harry Reid International Airport is just south of the Strip. Get to your hotel before the afternoon road closures on track days.

Before you book a hotel, check which side of the circuit your zone is on. Crossing the track is the slow part.

05Where to stay

Stay as close to your zone as you can: the walk is what wears you out. Hotel prices jump for race week, so compare a few nights either side.

06Food and drink

You can't bring food or drink in, apart from an empty bottle and food for medical needs. Inside, it's cashless only.

What's included

Food came with grandstand tickets in 2023 and 2024, but not since 2025. Free water and refill stations are still inside the fan zones.

What it costs

Drinks in the fan zones cost $12 to $27 in 2025 before tax, and fans complained about long queues and bars running out of beer on the busiest nights.

Eat before you go

Many fans eat in the hotels and casinos before the sessions start. There's no shortage of choice on the Strip.

Hot drinks

Fans say the one thing missing was coffee or hot chocolate on cold nights, so have one before you head in.

08Tickets

Tickets are sold on the official Las Vegas Grand Prix site. Every ticket is tied to one zone, and you can't move between zones. Grandstand seats are assigned, and food and drink aren't included. Prices on resale sites often fall in the last weeks, fans say, though not every year.

Where to sit, and who it suits

  1. Best for start + pit stops

    Main Grandstand

The start, the pit lane and the garages, plus the East Harmon stage behind it, where the driver interviews happen. Fans say a big screen can block the podium from some sections, and skyboxes block a few rows.

  2. Best for atmosphere

    T-Mobile Zone at Sphere

The liveliest part of the circuit, with concerts between sessions and the Sphere as a backdrop. The grandstands have seat backs and face the slow corners. Fans rate SG4 and SG5 for the view of the heavy braking into Turn 7.

  3. Best for lap one

    Turn 3 Grandstand

New for 2026, near the start. Good for lap-one moves, but Turns 2 to 4 are nearly flat out, so later in the race it's mostly single file.

  4. Best for value

    Heineken Grandstands

Bleachers on Koval Lane just after Turn 4. Cheaper, but cars are only in view briefly.

  5. Best for speed

    West Harmon Grandstand

Cars fly past flat out before the final corner, and you can see the pit lane entry. A small zone with short queues, but little to do between sessions.

Avoid scams

  • Official tickets are mobile tickets transferred through Ticketmaster. Only pay a second-hand seller once the transfer is in your own account.
  • Fans have been sent tickets for the wrong zone by resale sellers. Check the zone name on the ticket, not just the price.
  • Hotel packages that include race tickets can be good value, but check exactly which zone they include.

09Fan tips

Pick your zone carefully

You can't leave your zone during the weekend. T-Mobile has the concerts and the party, East Harmon the start and the stage, and West Harmon short queues but little to do.

Dress for the cold

Fans who have been every year say the grandstands are colder than you expect: high up, with no shelter from the wind. A sweatshirt under a warm jacket is the usual advice.

Walk, don't ride

Locals say to do everything you can to avoid a car. Plan your walking route the day before, as closures change the way in.

Beat the merch queues

Fans say the queues at the main F1 store were hours long later in the weekend, but short on Thursday.

Don't rush out

Monorail queues after the race can top an hour. Stay for a drink or a show and let the crowds clear.

The whole city is a fan zone

Fans say there are so many free pop-ups, car displays in hotel lobbies, meet-and-greets and watch parties that you could enjoy the weekend without a race ticket. Bars and patios along the Strip let you hear the cars go by.

Accessibility

  • The official site has an accessibility guide and service animals are allowed.
  • Expect long walks, stairs and pedestrian bridges. The T-Mobile Zone has a bridge over the track with lifts.
