The cheapest race on the F1 calendar is China. A three-day general admission ticket in Shanghai cost CNÂ¥480 (about US$70) for the 2026 race, about half the price of the next cheapest race.

If you want a price that’s already confirmed for 2027, the best deals are Japan and Italy, at about US$140 each for all three days.

At the other end, the cheapest three-day ticket in Miami was US$650 for 2026, and the cheapest grandstand in Monaco is about US$1,620.

Here’s all 24, ranked.

The best deals

China is the cheapest by a long way. Even if you want a seat, Grandstand E was about US$235 for all three days. The race is on 16 to 18 April 2027, and those prices are still from 2026, so check F1’s ticket page before you plan around them.

Japan has the best grandstand price of any 2027 race we can confirm. Grandstand G is ¥24,000 (about US$150) for three days. Prices are up about 20% in yen for 2027, but Suzuka is still far cheaper than most of the calendar. Advance tickets are three-day only, and they go on sale from 15 November.

Monza is the cheapest way in at a European race. General admission is €126 (about US$140) for 2027. The catch is what comes next: the cheapest stand we’re sure is a proper grandstand costs nearly three times that.

Hungary has Europe’s cheapest grandstand. The Chicane stands are €240 (about US$270). Austria matches Hungary on general admission at €170 (about US$190), but its cheapest grandstand costs €290 (about US$325).

São Paulo looks cheap, but you’ll work for it. Sector G is uncovered and first come, first served. Fans say people arrive at 5 or 6am on Sunday for the top rows.

Cheap, but read the terms: the Middle East

Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Bahrain are all in the cheapest eight, but they come with an obvious risk. The war cancelled the 2026 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix and moved the Bahrain Grand Prix to Sepang. This year’s races in Qatar and Abu Dhabi have also been in doubt.

All four are on the 2027 calendar, with Bahrain opening the season on 12 to 14 March. Before you pay, check what happens to your money if a race moves. For its 2026 race, Lusail’s terms said no refunds or changes.

What a whole weekend costs

The ticket is only part of it. Travel guide GPDestinations works out a budget weekend for each race: the cheapest ticket, three nights in a hostel or campsite, and spending money. Flights aren’t included, and for most people they’ll be the biggest cost.

  • Cheapest: China at about US$230, then São Paulo at about US$420 and Mexico City at about US$480.
  • Most expensive: Miami at about US$1,100 and Abu Dhabi at about US$1,170.

The surprise is Monaco. Stand on the Rocher for three days and stay in a hostel in Nice, and it comes to about US$780. A budget weekend at Silverstone, camping on site, is about US$820.

How to pay less

  • Buy early. Madrid’s general admission went from €195 (about US$220) to €345 (about US$390) across its 2026 releases, and Portugal is selling in four phases that are expected to get dearer. Hungary’s prices rose about 7.5% for 2027.
  • Go for one day. In 2026 you could see Las Vegas on Thursday for US$50, Qatar on the family Friday for QAR 200 (about US$55) and Austin on Friday from about US$109.
  • Check who a discount is for. Half-price tickets in São Paulo are mostly for Brazilian residents, with strict ID checks at the gate. Baku’s 50% discount is for locals too.
  • Be careful with resale. It can go either way. Fans say Las Vegas resale prices often fall in the last few weeks, while Mexico City resellers usually charge 10 to 25% over face value. Qatar’s circuit warns that tickets from sites like Viagogo and StubHub won’t get you in.

Portugal and Turkey are back

Both return in 2027, so there’s less to go on.

Portugal is at Portimão on 18 to 20 June. First-phase general admission is €300 (about US$340), and later phases will likely cost more.

Turkey is at Istanbul Park on 1 to 3 October, subject to FIA approval of the circuit. F1’s own ticket page only offers a waitlist so far. We found at least one site claiming to sell official Turkish GP tickets, with the wrong race dates on it, so don’t pay anyone until the organisers say tickets are on sale.

Our view

If you only care about the price of getting in, it’s China. If you want the best overall deal, we’d pick Japan: a grandstand seat at one of the best tracks on the calendar for about US$150, at a price that’s already confirmed for 2027. In Europe, Hungary gets you a grandstand for less than general admission costs at Silverstone.

We’ll update this page as more 2027 prices come out. Prices last checked on 5 November 2026. Going to one of these races? Our circuit guides have the maps, transport and tickets in detail.
